Turkiye has come a long way in developing its halal tourism space, which interweaves leisure with religious values. Halal-friendly resorts were often called into question for their commercial viability. Turkiye has not only flipped the script with its vision to strengthen the scope of what's available to Muslim travellers, but is also becoming a precedent for how other countries can follow suit.

Meanwhile, the halal food sector in the UK has gone from strength to strength, commanding shelf space across the country's top supermarkets. And what inspires hope is that there is much to come.
